Most Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL and Hisense Smart TVs can play IPTV with the right app. This guide shows which app to install on your TV, how to enter your login details and what to do if your TV has no suitable app.
Samsung TVs: open the Apps section in the Samsung Smart Hub.
LG TVs: open the LG Content Store.
Android TV and Google TV (Sony, TCL, Hisense and others): open the Google Play Store.
Search for an IPTV player. On Samsung and LG, look for IBO Player or SS IPTV. On Android TV, TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro and XCIPTV all work well. Select the app and choose Install. The apps on offer can vary by TV model and region.
Go back to your TV’s home screen and open the IPTV app you just installed.
Sign in with the details from the email we send after your purchase. Depending on the app, you will use one of these:
Username, password and server URL (Xtream Codes login).
M3U URL: paste the playlist link from your email.
Some apps, such as IBO Player, show a device ID and key on screen instead. Add your playlist on the app’s website using those details, or send them to our support team if you need help.
After signing in, your channels, movies and series load into categories such as Live TV, Movies and Sports. Add the channels you watch most to your favourites so they are easy to find.
Pick a channel or title and press play. Most apps also include a TV guide (EPG), so you can see what is on now and next.
Older Smart TVs, and some Samsung models, do not offer a good IPTV app. The easiest fix is an Amazon Fire TV Stick plugged into an HDMI port. Follow our guides to install IPTV Smarters Pro on Firestick or to use IPTV Smarters on a Samsung TV.
Once it is set up, your Smart TV can play thousands of live channels, including Australian sport, plus movies and series on demand. See our IPTV Australia plans if you do not have a subscription yet.
